Amid the growing challenges of waste and climate change, packaging has become an issue we can no longer ignore. Although plastic is cheaper to produce and widely used by businesses, its long-term environmental impact is significant.
In contrast, glass is a material that can be recycled 100% indefinitely without losing its quality. The remelting process does not degrade its chemical structure, allowing old bottles to be transformed into new ones in a true closed-loop system.
Using recycled glass also reduces the need for raw natural materials, lowers energy consumption in production, and decreases carbon dioxide emissions. However, successful recycling depends on proper cleaning and sorting.
While glass may not be the cheapest option today, it is one of the most sustainable choices for our planet’s future.
