Chinese researchers have developed a technology that converts nitrate-contaminated wastewater into ammonia for fertilizer production by using AI to identify the most effective “dual-atom” catalyst.
The process operates at room temperature and consumes significantly less energy than conventional ammonia production methods. It is also reported to be three times more efficient than traditional catalysts.
